Availability of Lookup values on Date type fields.
Intellicus now extend the functionality of its lookup values feature to include the Date type fields too. Now a Data Designer or a User who is creating a QO can choose a date type field and use the Fetch data option. This will help the user to get a List of Values available when he/she is selecting a Date for filtering.
Feature works in the same way it use to work for the Character type fields.
It is pretty easy to use. Select the Field, Set the Data type as 'Date', Go to Lookup Values section and click on checkbox 'Lookup Values'.
User can write his/her own SQL to get the values populated in the field.
When lookup values are applied on Date type field User will get combo boxes for that field instead of Calendar control on Adhoc wizard (as shown in figure).
This Feature is helpful when there is a need to restrict the user to select some specific dates only.
