Refresh Button on Object Selector
Intellicus now provide user an easy way to see all the objects in the object selector by a single click. Earlier if the user was editing an Adhoc report then on the Adhoc wizard he was able to see only the QO in use. To get the listing of all other QO user was supposed to 'collapse and expand' Action on the root node. Now intellicus is providing a single button to show all the objects of the selected category thus reducing the number of click to perform the operation.
On Editing the Adhoc report earlier screen looks like this. As shown in figure 'Sales Data' QO of Demo category is selected and visible
Earlier if user wants to change the QO on which the report is designed then
he/she use to perform the 'Collapse and expand' Operation on the Demo category.
But now User can just click
button to get the
listing as shown in below figure.
Refresh button will be disabled for the category once used.
Displaying default location where report is being published.
Intellicus now displays the Default path of saving of published report. This will enable user to know in which category the published report will be saved.Earlier a default path was calculated but not displayed.
Availability of Separators and Enclosures in RAW Text Report format.
Intellicus is introducing the usage of separators and enclosures in the RAW Text format. This output format is generally used for Huge reports and provision of separators (custom separators are also allowed) and enclosures enable the user to use the same output for further processing.
Here is a glimpse of how you can use it.
Availability of an Option to Create New QO and PO from Explorer.
Repository explorer on the left most side of Intellicus Page now have an option to create new Query object and Parameter object. This Saves lot of clicks' to reach the Query object and Parameter object designers. This flow also remembers the category under which you choose to create the object and hence user need not select the category again while saving.
Displaying Complete Category path on Report Listing Page.
Now when user will do the report listing he/she will see the complete path of the category instead of the current folder. This will help user to understand what path has been traversed to get that listing.
Remembering last selected object in Object Selector.
Object Selector in intellicus now memorize the last selected object by the user. For Instance if user choose a Category 'A' while saving the Query Object on Report Object screen, then if user moves on to designing the Adhoc report then while selecting the Query object Category 'A' will be opened by Default, Likewise if user saves the Report in Category 'B' and moves on to design a Widget, Category 'B' will be opened by Default for the user to choose the report and put it on the widget. This Feature helps to reduce the user clicks in case he is performing the operations on similar type of objects in Intellicus.
User can always see complete listing by pressing 'Refresh' Button on the Root Node available in the Object Selector.
As shown in this figure if user is saving a QO named 'Branch_QO' in 'Demo' category then Object selector will remember this.
Now when user moves to Adhoc report Wizard and open Object Selector to choose the QO, 'Demo' Category will be opened by default. This helps user to save time and clicks.
