Now OLAP viewer supports Drill through on a
particular dimension based on the value. Now you can have detailed insights on
the facts that are appearing on top level.
Drill through is available both from
chart and grid. To achieve this user has to have an Adhoc report created using
MDX query.
To Achieve Drill through you need to perform these four steps.
1. Select the connection from which cubes are imported.
2. Click on the Import OLAP Cubes button.
3. Select the Cube on which you want to enable Drill through functionality.
4. Select the Report (Already designed) which you want to see for detailed data.
After this configuration designer needs to go to the OLAP viewer to see the functionality working.
On chart it looks like
Security mechanism of restricting the
values visible to a particular user is also provided.
If you want to restrict a
user to view data for some specific values of a dimension then Administrator
can very well define it in a forced parameter.
Super Administrator can restrict
the values at the organization level or at the user level, or by a combination
of both.
In the below figure you are selecting the dimension and the forced parameter applied on that dimension.
Now the values for that parameter which the
users of an organization will have access to are being restricted on
organization level.
